Men's Monday Message: Thanksgiving

Good morning mighty men of valor,

As it is Thanksgiving this Thursday, it is a special time to pause and reflect on all that God, our Father, has done.​ Recall the gift of salvation offered by our Lord Jesus the Christ.​ Acknowledge the Holy Spirit who is our counsellor and comforter.

The Word in Psalm 104 says that we "enter His Gates with thanksgiving". I believe that our correct posture before God starts with giving thanks. Jesus always began His prayer with giving thanks. Even when you don't feel thankful...thank our God. It changes everything. A sacrifice of thanksgiving.

Jonah 2:9 But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.”

Leviticus 22:29 And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, offer it of your own free will.

I can get behind this posture... how 'bout you?

1 Thes. 5:16-18 simplifies the posture we need to have.... 

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

There it is... Rejoice, Pray, Give Thanks..... drop the Mic​... and think about it!
