Good morning mighty men of valor...
As men of God we often think upon the grace our Heavenly Father provides us and where we would be without that grace.
A very special gift and benefit we depend upon, not to take liberty, but to "work out our salvation".... to learn how we are to live as our Father intends.
To live a righteous life... Jesus calls this an abundant life (John 10:10).
As I thought about this, I kept coming back to two truths... (1) God loves me (and you) so much that He provides a way for a lost, fallen, sinful, unrighteous being to be reconciled back to Himself and to be made righteous....
And, (2) He never compromises His own perfect righteousness in order to accomplish this great act of love.
It cannot be said any better than the truth we find in Romans 3:21-26 (NIV)
"But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus."
Think about it!...... Seriously, let the Holy Spirit reveal this great truth to you.
