Good Morning Mighty Men of Valor....
This coming weekend I will be attending a men's retreat. Many churches are getting back to these kinds of gatherings and I would highly recommend attending if you have the opportunity, but do not go to simply have fun or to "get away" from the wife and family.
The Lord is impressing me to treat this like a fast or an extended Sabbath where He and I will meet to deal with some stuff.
As He instructed Job.... He instructs us to prepare ourselves......gird your loins and stand like a man. A "gabor" man.
I understand this to be the most masculine word in the Hebrew language.
To be strong and courageous.
For me.... I am anticipating meeting with Him.
We are often so busy that our times to walk and talk with Him become very "casual".
Something to check off the box on the To Do List.
I remind myself that I am meeting with the Almighty, whether at a retreat or any and every moment in prayer.
I can hear His voice command me to remove my shoes for this is Holy ground..... Indeed..... wherever the Lord IS holy ground.
So let me encourage you this day..... the Lord is glad and is so looking forward to meeting with you, but do not be casual with Him.
Prepare yourself "like a man" (Gabor). Clear your mind.... Clear your heart....
Cleanse your soul before you come into His presence..... And then..... enjoy and be filled with all He has for you.
Be in awe that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords wishes to meet with you and with me.
Can you hear Him summon you?
Strength and Honor, but Only for His Glory,
