Blessings brothers in Christ.
Psalm 19:1 Says, "the heavens declare the glory for God, the skies proclaim the works of His hands."
It is important that we "see" the majesty of God all around us.
I know you are busy, but pause, just a second, to consider this statement.
Stop and look at the indescribable, amazing, majestic, incredible work of God's hand.
From the smallest particle to the grandeur of the highest mountain, to the stars, planets and the universe your God, my God, imagined, thought and spoke into being everything.
John 1:3 (AMP) states, "All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being."
I believe it is important we know why we need to "see", "hear", and acknowledge this for it sets apart, in our mind and spirit, the battles we struggle with and the truth we are called to live in.
The enemy of souls, the culture and even our own flesh is at enmity with the Spirit and truth of God.... the "strongholds" we carry.
2 Cor 10:4-6 (NIV) reads, "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled."
When things are difficult and we are being accosted and in struggle, do as David did.... "strengthen yourself in the Lord." ... and THEN pray.
I think he may have considered the almighty power of God by seeing and hearing all of creation declaring the glory of God. He remembered his relationship with our Majestic Lord and strengthened his faith and confidence that there is no real contest. (good model for us}.... "if God is for us, who can be against us" (Ro 8:31).
So, next time the enemy of souls comes around I would ask him, "what has he created?"
Answer.... "Nothing!"
Drop the mic !
