Good morning mighty men of valor....
Do you ever wonder if God is hearing your prayers?
Sometimes we pray and the only spiritual sound we hear is ... well, crickets.
Ever feel this way?
I have come to learn that God's promises have boundaries.
He will only do that which is in His character....
In His will...
What I believe (faith pleases God)...
and if my motives are righteous or right before God. (this is the one I have trouble with).
We all have heard Mat 7:7, but check out the verse in the Amplified Bible...
“Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you."
Seems the asking, seeking and knocking is more than a one-time simple prayer and more of a posture to stay before God.
I believe it is to help us to come within these "boundaries" of God's promises.
To allow me to learn more about His Character....
To seek His will not mine...
To build faith as I recall all the times He was with me...
And to fine-tune my motives from selfish to selfless.
God hears us my brothers and works to move us to the place where we can ask anything in his name and it will be done (John 14:13-14)
Think about it!
