Men's Monday Message: Shake It Off!

Good morning mighty men of valor....

Ever feel the "world" is a little too close?

Or, maybe you have gotten too close to it?

That the compromise, unrighteous, unsanctified effects and impressions of the world is trying to impact you in a negative way?

You feel a bit unsettled, not quite right, somewhat out-of-wack?

Here we are... another week of dealing with the workplace, hearing the back and forth on political issues, Ukraine, Russia, China, tariffs, trans/identity issues, stock market up-and-downs, financial pressures, relationship issues, news about the Pope... lets see what else we can pile on...

In a word... "PRESSURE".

Is that you this day?

I am coming off a time such as this.

I mean, it's only a week since we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord.

Let us not forget! Christ is Risen!

So, if this is you this day, I have good news....

The fact that you recognize this means you are still "alive" in Christ.

If you feel what I have described, but aren't sure why, well now you know.

Rejoice that we are "alive" in Him...

... and Shake It Off! (good title for a song... nah, it will never sell).

Yes, shake it off and live in the truth of Christ.

It is true that we are in the world, but we are not of the world. (John 8:23)

Remember, we bring the light into a dark world. (John 8:12, 12:46, Mat 5:14-16)

Fact is, Jesus overcame the world for our sake and we can do the same. (John 16:33)

Our Heavenly Father, through Christ, provides, forgiveness, mercy and grace...

... Everything we need.

Yes, when I am weak, He is strong. (2 Cor 12:9)

Do not be asleep-at-the-wheel my friend but be vigilant (1 Peter 5:8).

Shake off the world and stay in the light.

Pray... stay close to God.... be thankful.... love God with all your heart, strength, mind and soul.... and your neighbor as yourself.

Think about it!
