Good morning men of God,
Mat 5:9 reads, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the Sons of God".
So, are you a "peacemaker"?
I think we all would like to say we are.
If we simply look at the word it literally says, "makers of peace".
To bring calm into the situation.
Well, you can't "bring" what you haven't got.
One of the translations of the word "blessed" in this verse is to be "spiritually calm with life-joy in God's favor".
Spiritually calm....
Can you feel the imagery of that in your spirit?
That's something I want more of.
You know, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can develop a deeper sense of spiritual calmness.
Think about all the verses in the Word.
Such as...
"Be slow to speak..." Jam 1:9...seems I would be in more control of my emotions.
"Walk in the Spirit"... Gal 5:16... not responding to my fleshly lusts.
Listen for God in the "still, small voice" (1Ki 19).... that causes us to quiet our souls so we can hear God.
"Be still, and know that I am God" (Ps 46:10)
Heck...All of the 23rd Psalm speaks to this.
.... "For they will be called Sons of God".
"Called"... to express the character of God.
As the world sees me and you it is how they will see God.
Guess I have some work to do.
Think about it.
Strength and Honor, but Only for His glory,
