Good Morning disciples of Jesus,
Blessings on this Tuesday.
Being yesterday we celebrated Labor Day, generally a holiday from work, today is the day to talk about our being back at work, school, business.... attending to our "labor".
In thinking about this "labor" the question came to me, "who am I laboring for?"
Do I work just for me... my family... my "pay" or just the accomplishment of work itself?... or is there some higher call?... higher purpose or mission?
Does God care about my work?
I remember the old Hebrew National Hot Dog ad slogan where it said, "we answer to a higher authority."
So, who do you "answer" to?
Proverbs 3:6 (AMP) says, "In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]."
"In all our ways" includes at work, on the job, at school, even stuff around the house and stuff on the Honey Do list.
Why not pause right now and invite Him into your "labor" and make it a habit to invite Him every day. Making my path smooth and straight removing obstacles seems like a great help to me.... agree?
