Good morning mighty brothers in Christ.
Do you consider yourself a "lone wolf" when it comes to the things of God?
Someone who walks, not completely alone, but only with God as you navigate this life.
You pray... have personal devotion... maybe even family devotion time, but when it is about you... well there's only 2 seats at the table... yours and God's.
Does that describe your walk? A vertical posture.
Nice, but one problem, well more than one, but let's just look at one.
How do you see the "blind spots"?
Or, are you the guy that has a multitude of guys you assemble with, but it seems more like a club than a relationship.... A horizontal posture.
I do not think God designed us for a solitude walk with only Him (vertical) nor to be only part of a pack of peers, (horizontal) good guys, even God guys, without Christ as the head (more than in name only).
We are designed for the relationship of both vertical and horizontal.
Christ at the head, our brothers at our side.
There is plenty of Biblical evidence for this.
"It is not good for man to be alone".
"There is safety in a multitude of counsel".
Jesus, Himself, assembled 12 disciples.
You get the point.
So, who is in your corner?
Who can you fully be transparent with?
Who will you submit to for accountability?
(Confess your sins one to another.. Ja 5:16)
Who will love and accept you even with your flaws?
Brothers, we cannot be islands unto ourselves.
We are not designed to be solitary men.
We are designed to be brothers.
I believe Father God says, "you can't have the fullness of Me without including them!"
Think about it!
