Happy New Year men of God,
2023 is gone and 2024 is here.
For some 2023 was a good year... for others, they're happy to turn the page.
But, what makes for a "good" year or a "bad" year?
It has been my experience the distinction lies with what we choose to remember that designates the label we place on the year, the decade, the week or even the day.
Truth is we all have challenges, trouble, tribulations and stuff we need to navigate through.
The trick is do we approach these challenges in our own strength or in the wisdom, power and might of Almighty God?
John 16:33 reminds us we will have trouble in this world, but Christ, our model for manhood, has overcome the world.
Ok, so what do I do?
1 Thes. 5:18 holds the key.... give thanks in all things.
So, before you etch the label for 2023, think about the blessings not the hardships.
Be thankful for what you have and do not remind yourself of what you don't have.
Be thankful for the smallest of things and you will make the mountains in your life small.
Be grateful to God and you will realize how much He was with you.
You see, how we close 2023 will often dictate how we will approach 2024...
let's get it right.
Think about it!
