Men's Monday Message: Faith

Blessings my great brothers...

Happy Labor Day!

For most of us a holiday... no work!

Well maybe.... how's that "honey-do" list coming?

The scripture that comes to me is James 2:20, "...faith without works is dead".

It has been my experience that this verse is used as we discuss the "saved by grace" vs the "my good works" mindsets.

But I was thinking of something else to consider.

For me, I sometimes have to work AT my faith.

You know, the "I believe, help my unbelief " stuff.

Faith is work sometimes, don't you agree?

And if I do not "WORK IT" it weakens until almost dead.

Remember 2 Tim 2:6, "Therefore, stir up the gift that is within you...".

We apply this as we consider spiritual gifts, but this all starts with faith. No?

Bible states that we are all given a "measure of faith"... sounds like a gift to me!

SO, LET'S STIR IT UP!

Think about it...

Strength and honor, but only for His Glory,
