Men's Monday Message: Politically Correct vs God Correct

Good Morning Mighty Men of God....

As men we often find ourselves in a position to "make a call".... right or wrong.... safe or out.

I guess this is true for everyone, not just for men, and in this current "politically correct" environment gender doesn't and shouldn't matter.

I must say however when it comes to politically correct, or what they really mean is "culturally" correct, that our culture seems to be a bit out of whack.

Do you agree?

Oh, "whack" is a Greek word meaning out of order, upside down, "that doesn't seem right".... "are you kidding?"... :)

I often hear that we are not to "judge" lest we be judged.

We are to be tolerant, accepting of the views of others, "live and let live".

You get the picture.... do not offend anyone so do not say anything.

I often wonder if we ever think about what offends God?

He defines marriage as a sacred vow between a man and a woman.... our culture says it is between whomever.

God creates us as a man or a woman... our culture says ignore the physical evidence and choose whatever gender you want.

God says life is a gift, special, and valuable .... our culture says it has no value and can be tossed out with the trash.

God calls our intimacy and the "marriage bed" pure and blessed.... our culture says love the one you're with (thank you Crosby, Still and Nash).

They say "do not judge".

I say "do not be confused".

We are not to condemn and set eternal judgement or a final verdict.

Nor are we to set a label to pass a concluded title to set one's identity.

This is the Lord's call.

But, we ARE to determine the correctness of a behavior, an action, an attitude as it aligns with God's commandments, example and benevolence.

We ARE to decide the righteousness of a matter.

We ARE to discern right and wrong and to do so with the heart of God, with kindness and empathy and love..... but to discern just the same.

As offered in Romans 12:2 (MSG) ... Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Politically correct.... or God correct?

Choose ye this day whom you will serve.

Strength and Honor, but Only for His Glory,
