Men's Monday Message

Good Morning Mighty brothers in Christ,

Men's Pastor Scott Caesar says that one of the benefits of developing a Christ-Centered life is Confidence.

So, on a scale 0f 1 to 10 (10 being high) how confident are you feeling this day that the Lord has made?

"Wait a minute Coach Dennis, do you mean at work?.... in my walk with God?...

... in my marriage or relationships?.... with my finances, health, education, my kids, my neighbors, my business, my forgiveness, my peace... what exactly?"

Exactly.... all of the above!

Can be overwhelming.... and if you are anything like me (truly hope you are much better than me) we have more confidence in some areas than others.

But, God wants us confident in all areas.... in life... not just a part of life.

Hey!... LISTEN UP.... here's some good news.

Phil 1:6 (NASB) "I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it (pause here).... HE WILL PERFECT IT!

Yes we are a work in progress but it is about the "HE' not about the "me".

Confidence: to feel certain about the truth of something.... self-assurance, conviction, reliance, dependence, sureness.

There's another definition... as in to keep a secret, to keep in confidence, and intimacy.

Doesn't that just sound like God? Let's have some intimate time together so you can know me better, to experience me more and know the truth about stuff.

That's the secret sauce.... the formula to have more confidence...

Knowledge plus Experience yields Confidence.... Our knowledge of God and our experiences with Him.

Jesus said, "Everlasting life is knowing God"

David knew God and had well documented experiences with Him... {remember the bear and the lion before he faced and had confidence to go after Goliath).

How 'bout you?

Recall your powerful times with God.... Remember Who He is (He is found in His names) and yield to His Word and proclaim.... "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil 4:13).

Think about it!

Strength and Honor, but Only for His Glory,

MDN Coach Dennis Labriola
